Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (July 15, 1606, October 4, 1669) was born 400 years ago in the city of Leiden, in the Netherlands. The year 2006 is celebrated with a lot of special activities and exhibitions in honour of this great painter from the Dutch ‘Golden Age’. In the Master’s house in Amsterdam fifty of his paintings from all over the world are brought together for the Rembrandt 400 exhibition, a unique event!
